We think Wausau gets pretty interesting after dark. Here are the significant police calls to Wausau taverns for the last month, plus information about liquor licenses and other bar-related matters.
The tavern reports are starting to lack details again. So I took a trip to the courthouse to see if I could hunt down some of the cases. Because of that, some of the items have quite a bit more detail. I think that matters, because it gives people a real sense of what goes on after dark in Wausau.
Police were called last month to M&R Station after they received several calls about a fight that apparently involved numerous people.
When police arrived after 1 am on Saturday, they came upon six women surrounding a car with one woman inside the car, and all of them were yelling at each other.
Police say a 22-year-old woman from Merrill and a 22-year-old woman from Wausau had started fighting at The Office in Schofield earlier that evening, but friends broke up the fight and they parted ways. Everyone moved to M&R Station, however, and the Wausau woman “ran up on” the Merrill woman, who started swinging.
