Bull Falls Brewery has a new owner
The owner bought the brewery in a sheriff's sale following the former owners being foreclosed on
Two years ago The Wausonian broke news that Bull Falls Brewery was listed for sale on an auction site. The brewery hadn’t said anything about closing, and messages sent to the brewery’s Facebook page went viewed but unanswered.
Then the brewery announced they were searching for a buyer. THEN they seemed to be potentially staying open. The brewery was still open for Doug Diny’s election night party (the only of the two open to the press) and word is there were several buyers who ultimately fell through.
The Wausonian also broke news that the brewery owed the city money. Of the $400,000 tax increment finance loan the brewery had received, Bull Falls Brewery still owed Wausau $300,000 The Wausonian learned.
The brewery now has a new owner, but that new owner came in a way the brewery’s owners probably wouldn’t have preferred: Through a Sheriff’s sale.
Here’s what The Wausonian learned.
