Election investigator Peter Bernegger has been posting on Telegram and X about Wisconsin politicians who have violated campaign finance laws. It will be interesting to see what transpires from this campaign. The outside money says a lot. Good information in the article. I watched/attended the mayoral events. I saw someone who has efficiently and responsibly managed millions of dollars in contracts and sales/managed projects vs. ballot box twerker who is more concerned about diversity than economics (increased city debt, water bills). Not a tough choice at all. Madison/D.C./Soros interests vs. Wausau concerns. It appears to me she mostly failed to fulfill her campaign promises made 4 yrs. ago: https://wausaupilotandreview.com/2020/03/29/election-qa-wausau-mayoral-race/
She has made the comment on more than one occasion that things are much more complicated that it appears; there's a lot to consider. Of course there is. That's an excuse. I think she is in over her abilities. DEI needs to DIE. We need proven capability and accountability, not quotas met. My father dealt with "diversity" quotas in the 60's in the Dept. of Agriculture. He'll tell you it didn't work then; it's not working now.
Recent YT Mayor Katie ad shows (recently retired Dec 15, 2023) Bob Bartek Wausau fire chief endorsing Katie and shows back of other city fire fighter in the video too. As city director, former chief should not be in Katie campaign ad while working...Brian can you confirm? Isn’t that Katies husband posing as Katie supporter next to the fire truck in Katie campaign ad?
I recently did a poll of Nextdoor.com users in the Wausau area; over 80% of surveyed users are age 50 and older. Seems that Mayor Katie forgot to target the majority of local residents that vote but we will see for sure come April 2nd elections result.
More than enough to cover the cost of a professional, competent City Manager.
IMHO, the next Wausau mayor will be the one that went door to door to meet and speak with neighbors; we will find out for sure who won come April 2nd.
Excellent information.

Did a quick research of Instagram users:
18–24: 26.6%
25–34: 28.4%
35–44: 19.5%
45–54: 12.2%
55–64: 7.7%
65+: 5.7%
IMHO, Katie seems to be focusing on under 40 crowd, which are notorious for not voting much.
