What we've learned about a criminal investigation in Kronenwetter
Right now there are more questions than answers
A couple of months ago I sat down with now former Kronenwetter Board Member Joel Straub.
I was a bit surprised it was happening. I’d first contacted him as part of my investigation into Kronenwetter’s massive exodus of staff members. He was offered a chance to respond, as were all Kronenwetter board members.
Straub never responded.
Then in the Kronenwetter Board President race, Straub in response to questions about the race I sent him wanted me to come to his house to show me “what this was all about.” I had some sense already ('I’d read his emails as part of my records request) but agreed. He canceled at the last minute for unspecified reasons and never did answer my questions.
Then I got a message from him telling me to request a permit from 2018. I was to contact him after I had done so.
So sitting at Clean Slate Coffee awaiting Straub’s arrival, I wasn’t sure what exactly what was about to happen. I’d requested and obtained a record he suggested I look at. Now it was just a matter of what he might say about it.
It turns out, there was a criminal investigation going on in Kronenwetter, and I’ve just confirmed with an official source that it’s true.
