Don't miss Dandelion Delivery Service | Your Wausome Weekend Guide
Wausau area events for the weekend of March 25-April 1, 2026
Lamplight Sessions has introduced a number of acts that otherwise might have slipped under the radar, and now some of those bands are popping up at other venues. That’s the case when Stevens Point’s Dandelion Delivery Service takes the stage at The Intermission, or The Mish, for those in the know. They’ll be joined by the duo version of Mike Clark and the Sugar Sounds, a huge band Dandelion has been touring with. And that’s only one of many events in the Wausau area this weekend.

Dandelion Delivery Service and Mike Clark Duo
Saturday, March 28: Many in the central Wisconsin area likely was first introduced to Dandelion Delivery Service at Lamplight Sessions. This unique, electrified bluegrass band from Stevens Point toured with R&B indie band Mike Clark and the Sugar Sounds, and indie band touring nationally. Dandelion is like if you mixed punk rock aesthetics with a bluegrass sound - it’s pretty darned cool. Dandelion Delivery Service joins the Mike Clark Duo for what should be an epic show at The Intermission this Saturday, creating an intimate setting to see these two amazing acts. 9 pm. See the event page for more.
Glam Band
Friday, March 27: Hey you know what? Every once in a while I just want to crank some Guns ‘N Roses or Motley Crue. Even though it’s easy to make fun of the glam rock era, it’s also a high-energy set of tunes to get you in the mood. The Glam Band brings that hair metal era to life with a high-energy show. But even more interesting, this Grand Theater show adds a symphonic band to the mix, creating a unique take on the genre. So get your hair metal hair-do ready and get ready to rock! 7:30 pm. $54-$69. See the event page for more.
Comedy Night
Saturday, March 28: Timekeeper Distillery is already your hotspot for fancy mixed drinks, from alcohol distilled right on site. And, they’ve added food to fill out the experience. (If you haven’t tried their taco night yet, you really haven’t lived.) But this Saturday the distillery will add a comedy night and fill the old depot with laughs! Timekeeper’s comedy night will star comedian Sean Patrick Moore out of the Fox Valley area, along with Gemini the Savage and Connor O’Hara. Comedy and delicious drinks sounds like a great combination to me. 7 pm. $15. See the event page for more.
Easter Egg Hunt at Hy-Vee
Saturday, March 28: OK families - we’ve got you covered on the Easter Egg Hunt front. The latest is this Easter event at the new Hy-Vee store, which used to be County Market. Bring your baskets and hunt for eggs, but also bring your camera because the grocery store chain is promising some photogenic opportunities. If you’re looking to bring the family to an early Easter event, here’s another chance. 10 am-1 pm. See the event page for more.
Wausau Area Tropical Fish Swap
Sunday, March 29: OK, so this one is a little niche, but I always find tropical fish fun to look at even if I don’t own any myself. And for those who are enthusiasts, here is a great chance to add to your aquarium! Expect plenty of tropical fish, plants, aquariums and supplies on hand for this event that is free to the public to attend. Noon-3 pm. Check out the event page for more.
Yas and the Jewelers
Saturday, March 28: This one is a little bit of a drive, but this unique band is worth checking out when they’re playing live. When we first featured this band, they were just releasing their debut EP. Now it’s out and the post-rock vibe this band puts out is fantastic. Yasamin, the band’s lead, has a voice that punches above its weight, and lingers hauntingly over the band’s easy-going vibe. They’ll be joined by Marigold Motel, Free Dirt and German Love. They should sound great at Point Area Bike Service, surrounded by all those cool bikes. 8 pm. See the event page for more.
Upcoming
The BoDeans
Friday, April 4: It’s been 40 years since The BoDeans released its debut album — and that was the start of a huge career for this Waukesha-originating band. The BoDeans went on to share the stage with nationally known acts including Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan and U2. To honor the 40th anniversary, The BoDeans are putting on this 2 1/2-hour retrospective show featuring songs from their 14 studio releases going back to the 1980s. There are still tickets left, but they likely won’t last long so make sure you get yours if you’re interested. 7:30 pm. $48-$77. Check out the event page for more.
