Women fight at Cop Shoppe | Wausau Tavern Report
Wausau police calls to taverns, and more
Police were called to Cop Shoppe Pub in the early morning hours of Jan. 4 for a report of two women wearing dark clothing who were involved in a throwdown.
When police arrived at 2:04 am, a 19-year-old Weston woman was lying on the ground with her hands over her head, trying to catch her breath. Another woman, a 19-year-old from Wausau, grew agitated when police approached her, screaming at them to get away from her. She later resisted arrest, needing to be forceably handcuffed and put in the car.
Two male witnesses told officers that the Wausau woman had been attempting to grind on them, but they told her to leave. A third woman also told her to leave.
But that’s when the trouble began.
