I learned that Marathon Plumbing did the actual lead lateral replacement for this west side home. I did an open records request about this lead lateral replacement but it has been over 3 weeks and no word when the city will provide the info I requested. :(
Would also like to know who the contractor was....since there are a number of local ones doing lead lateral replacement. Director Eric Lindman has been pushing for Milwaukee labor plumbers to be doing work in Wausau. IMHO, I do believe most neighbors would prefer to have local plumbers do the work.
The contractor present at the house on 12th was from Atlanta, who as I recall specializes in that work. They've been presenting to the city a lot during this process.
Brian- could you find out exact address of the lead replacement on 12th Avenue and what other charges that were not covered by the grant funding, such as city assessments (neighbor on 10th Ave got recent $4k bill) and the costs for the sewer replacement that are NOT covered by the grant funding.
