Where do you get your information from? Since this article was dated today I actually thought this information was from today. Wrong! If you want the truth about what’s going on with Dist. 3 why not ask the person in question. Go to the one that knows the truth. I’m so disappointed in this article. I subscribed because I thought this was a truthful publication. Boy was I wrong!!

I now learned from the county clerk that Egelkrout has appealed the decision, and that the clerk has until Feb. 1 to respond to the state. I have updated the story.

Hi Deb, I'm very confused by your comments. The information is from the county clerk's office, including the report from the clerk's office and the additional information that I requested. I usually have a number of stories that I'm working on so I usually schedule them out, but I don't see anywhere where I said that this happened today. The date is the day it's published, nothing more. Is there some other information that I should be aware of? Egelkrout's name is still crossed out on the clerk's list of candidates. If there is some additional information beyond what I've received from the clerk's office, who is the arbiter of who goes on the ballot, feel free to let me know.

Looks like you found the correct information. Thank you for correcting the story.

If a story is published on a date should I think otherwise that this isn’t the date it was created? How else would I know the date of the story.

Yes, thanks for helping me get it updated. I was unaware of the appeal. The county clerk says she plans to release a press release when the result is final from the Wisconsin Elections Commission.

I was just confused by your initial comment and didn't understand what you were getting at. Now I understand you were saying there was new information I wasn't aware of when I published the story. Well, we will be following the appeal and watching for the press release (since WEC doesn't really provide any information to the media, something that is pretty frustrating frankly).
