We think Wausau gets pretty interesting after dark. Here are the significant police calls to Wausau taverns for the last month, plus information about liquor licenses and other bar-related matters.

This month police investigated a rather unusual situation: Someone trying to sell a baby otter.

Police headed down to Matt’s 101 Pub at 9:43 pm May 7 after getting a report that someone was trying to sell a baby otter at the bar.

For those who don’t know, it’s illegal to try to sell a wild animal, and bars aren’t really the kind of place to conduct such transactions anyway.
